Good point, Dave! But why stop with just the bass strings, when you can
eliminate the problem altogether, by removing ALL the strings? BTW, do
you think a frustrated tuner could have been the one who set the fire in
the first place? What he may have had in mind was a John Cage-type compo-
sition entitled "Concerto Grosso for Piano and Blow-Torch"!
