Jon, Sy and list, I agree with Jon and Andre. Even when someone does get a little "terse" in the reply, many times an apology is forthcoming. I, personally, just try to word any response I make in the same manner I would like it worded to me. What was that post earlier about "do unto others....." ? That should apply here, too. If it happens to be a very controversial subject, just get out your flame proof suit and keep it handy and don't worry about it. :-) And Jon, in case you "have" misplaced it, The Piano Page has a link to the archives and to the full text searcher. Well, got to stop and go do a couple of tunings for recitals. Ah, a piano tuner's work is never done. One of the tunings, however, is for an outside artist, so at least I'll make a little extra money for working on Saturday.
