Replacing the brackets might be the best thing. Whatever you do, don't try to repair them. I can't remember the specifics but my wife was taught in Band Instrument Repair school to never try and repair pot metal keys (older clarinets and saxes had pot metal keys). I'm not sure why but I think the metal melts at a lower temperature than solder does. Anyway, we've experimented with it (for educational purposes) and it literally disintegrates. Ron Shiflet
