Avery, The best way to determine the spread action is by measuring touch weight. By moving it in too far and measure and out too far and measure both up weight and down weight you will be able to find the proper spread ation where is difference between up and down weights are the least. Marks on the old rails where screws were will be another indicator. Marks made by the capstans will be another indicaton. You should have no problems. Newton nhunt@rci.rutgers.edu
