Avery; You mentioned in an earlier post that the bass worked well. Those are the figures that I would go for. You can always experiment and bring it back. You must remember that the height spread is as important as the width spread. I once had a Heintzman that had a schwander action in it so I went to the Kimball class and took in their grand regulating class, after the class I told them about the piano and how terrible it worked and they turned around and said "you have a problem". So much for the help. I any case we had two Kimballs so I carefully measured the pin spread and the height difference and found that I had to raise the hammer rail by .080" and then of course I had to close the pin spread difference because of the extra length created by raising the rail. Then it worked just fine. Hope this helps. Ray
