CA-Glue/ Bridge Pins

I have used CA glue very successfully for this type of repair. Get a glue set
from Dryburgh, not just the glue. In the set is a very thin tube. Cut the end
off the new bottle of CA glue JUST enough to push the end of this tube through
the hole from INSIDE the spout. Have it stick out just about 1/2". Replace
the spout onto the bottle with the rest of the tube inside the bottle. Have
the strings removed the area clean and a box the Kleenex immediately at hand.

By inverting the bottle and squeezing it you can get the CA glue to come out in
a very controlled manner just at the base of the pin. Allow the glue to soak
in by going over about an octave over and over again until there is a meniscus
that remains after a period of time. Use the tissue to wick up the meniscus
(sp) and any excess that gets dropped where it does not belong.

This is not a difficult job, just time consuming. You want the CA to fill the
hole entirely, bottom to top. There will be anough moisture in the bridge to
initiate setting, but it may take more time than you think. Allow to stand
overnight before restring.
