There was a thread on block tighteners a while back, and I don't want to
re-open it, but if you really want a pin-driving fluid, varnish makes a
better one than Garfield's, whose further purpose is to attract water, and
which some would argue makes the pinblock feel different. I like plain,
unadulterated maple, myself.
