I have replaced bass strings_expediently_ by doing 2 to 4 unisons at a time. If the pins are remaining in the block, use a dummy pin to make the coil and transfer to the piano. Dummy pin: drill hole slightly larger, cut pin 1/4" below hole, a cut up to the hole will express the coil off. Jon Page Harwich Port, Cape Cod, Mass.
