Optimizing repetition

The area that should be given particular attention for faster repetition
"could be" the height of the jacks.
For extremely fast repetition the jack should be lower than the
repetition lever.
To find out exactly how much lower, you could do the following:
Regulate the height of the jack so, that the jack is lower than the
repetition lever by at least 0,3 mm.
Then check the movement of the hammer while pressing down the "elbow" of
the jack (the "small" jack). The hammer should still move downwards
>very<slightly.
You of course mentioned aftertouch, set to "fairly standard
measurements". If you make a "harder aftertouch" (hard landing) the
pianist has the ultimate control of the action all the way down.
