Ted,

I thought I had sent this but I'll try again...
You need to pull the action and remove the screws to the the
damper lifter tray end flanges/brackets.  The ones the tray swings on.
When this is done the tray will swing out enough to get a long
screwdriver down through the strings to remove the rest of the
bracket which is attached to the tray directly.  Once this is
done the tray will remain but the flanges come out for
repinning/rebushing etc.  Then reassemble in reverse order.
