Regarding the MX100 (II & XG) soft pedal antics.
The MX100 hammer rest rail does return to a normal, at rest position
when the unit is turned off.  When turned back on, however, It will return
to the same position it was in when it was turned off.  It "remembers" the
volume knob setting when powered down.  If it doesn't, it's a sign of a
problem with the PK board or the soft pedal adjustment or it's locking
solenoid.
