Steaming knuckles

Someone mentioned that steaming knuckles to rejuvenate them worked, but it was
too labor intensive to do.

Why not use a steam hose so you wouldn't have to remove them?

In player rebuilding, I used to use an old pressure cooker with a three foot
length of 1/2" hose lead from a 1/2" nipple in the top. It worked very vell
removing any materials glued with hide glue, especially well on leathers like
pouches. Just get a corner of player cloth started, and run the steam along
the glue line and peel.

The biggest problem is that the steam condenses rapidly in the hose, so it
works best with the end of the hose in the up position, with the water running
back to the cooker.

I would think that a hose that was large enough for the knuckle to fit into
would be ideal. Should take only a few seconds.
