Glen asks: << What is Mylar and where can one buy some? Do any of you used something different to record the old hole pattern?>> Mylar, or clear acetate, available from art supply houses will do the job quite well. Get it thick enough to be stable. Also, before you go and punch holes in the transfer, take a close look at the old bridge. Notice where the holes were drilled unevenly, ( none of the old guys were perfect). Notice where the angle of the strings across the bridge vary from their neighbors, and make notes. You will have the chance to correct all of these shortcomings with the new pattern. You don't want to just reproduce the mistakes perfectly. Regards, Ed Foote
