Renner requests Yamaha Hammer Specs

Dear List,

We are trying to assist a recently terminated Yamaha dealer with a set of
hammer replacements for a Yamaha CF3, and the sample guide hammers are not
available. The dealer was not able to obtain the hammer boring specs from
Yamaha, so one of our technicians contacted Yamaha directly in the U.S. and
was told by two techs there that they don't know what the hammer boring
specifications are and it would take a long time to figure it out although
they would try. They were very sympathetic to our need, but I don't have
high hopes that this will happen on a timely basis.

We know how to cut through this kind of problem and eventually get the
information from Japan if need be, however we have run out of time to help
this customer and I'm hoping one of you may have already been through this
and can provide some reasonable boring specs we can work with.

Also, if this is a common problem with Yamaha, let us know and when we
obtain this information we will certainly be willing to share it. We are
finding more and more Yamaha grands in some pretty impressive venues, and
would like to be in a position to support the technicians who are servicing
them.

Thanks for any help you can provide. If it's easier to fax the information
to us, our fax number is 203-454-7866.

Best wishes,
Lloyd Meyer
