Rim splitting

Thanks to all who responded to my question on rim splitting repairs.

I've decided to go with an epoxy repair, along with several vertical dowels
to stabilize the whole mess.  The piano is old enough that I'm pretty sure
the finish is lacquer - not polyester.  I'm bringing my refinisher to the
final inspection/estimation, so it can become his problem - not mine! ; )
