A bit more info for ya'll to chew on: After a large storm went through, the humidity went up quite a bit. The average torque went up to around 50 inch pounds, the Eb in the D to 15 inch pounds, but the low A in the same piano is now 5 inch pounds. I checked the torque in a Steinway B repinned with 4/0 pins in January and the torque is 130 inch pounds. Any thoughts/data on how long the torque will remain acceptable, as opposed to reblocking the piano? David Graham, RPT dgraham@niu.edu
