What I've done - and do - is to group all the messages pertaining to a subject together. The header for each message is subject, who the message is from, and the date. I then print them and save them in a loose leaf notebook. I now have a marvelous reference work. Saving them this way also enables me to ask the responder to clarify anything that I don't understand. All this takes a while but it ha sure aved me lots of time on numerous occasions. I'm really grateful to the list for all their shared time and expertise.
