I simply charged by the hour. My rate was high enough that I completely enjoyed sitting around waiting for them to finish their sound checks, spot the piano, break for coffee, rehearse, move the piano, wait for the artist, check the lights, set up the sound system, break for more coffee, check out the drums, etc., etc., etc.... --ddf
