Stupid Question: history lesson

Hi Greg,

Prior to our having square topped tuning pin they were rectanglar and
tuning "hammers" had slots instead of 'star' tips.  The heads for the
"hammers" were double ended with the slots at 90 degrees to each other.

The tuning "hammer" looked a bit like a hammer but the not quite because
the tips were about 10 degrees each off perpendicular to the handle.
