It's been a while since I've done this. I put a new action in a Steinway K upright right after they came back into production. I seem to remember that using a straight edge and spring clamps to keep the catchers lined up worked pretty well. Take care with the glue application, since you can't spin them in like you did on the hammers to shanks. I used hot hide glue.
