Kimball console dampers

There is a piece of material missing from the brass rods that lift the
dampers.  Take the action out (and tighten the rear flanges while you're at
it), and look at that rod assembly which lifts the dampers right at the break
between the bass and the low tenor.  You will see that the rod is divided (to
permit seperate function of the bass dampers).  There should be a piece of
buckskin that serves as a gasket between the two rods which couple.  It has
most likely fallen out.  You may even find it lying loose in the action or
somewhere below in the piano.  If not, just use a piece of buckskin that you
might use for a backcheck or catcher and glue it in there with some kind of
cement (I use "Goo" from Schaff or a hobby store) contact or any other cement
or just a very little medium or thick CA glue will work too.
