Today reminded me of the curse "may you have an interesting life." I'll limit myself to the short version, though. It began with a run to the hardware store for easy-outs (which didn't help) before I had even brushed my teeth, and by lunch I had set off the carbon monoxide detector. Didn't know we had one. Came with the house. When it bleeped intermittently, I assumed it was a smoke detector looking for a battery. So I went on with what I was doing and pulled it off the wall a little later. I saw what it was, but still assumed it wanted a battery while it bleeped on and off. Carried it around, looked for the battery, etc. By the time I figured out it wasn't malfunctioning, and was coming from the shop and not an appliance, I was dizzy. I'm fine and I still got quite a bit of work done after I opened the windows and took a break. But if it can happen to me it can happen to you. I wasn't doing anything all that unusual. So if you don't have a detector, be nice to yourself and get one. Pat Wilbur, Associate Fort Worth, TX
