>From Sy Zabrocki--RPT My new Ancott Associates book just arrived today. I've checked out the prices. Buy a Kawai RX-3(6'1"), a comparable piano to the Yamaha C3 (in my opinion). Maybe save enough money to buy yourself a new computer. The Ancott book lists all pianos and their suggested retail price. Dealer cost is determined by using a code. ---------- From: ETomlinCF3[SMTP:ETomlinCF3@aol.com] Sent: Saturday, April 25, 1998 2:05 PM To: pianotech@ptg.org Subject: Re: Yamaha C3 Oh ....Please.... a Petrof is better than a Yamaha.... I can't believe someone would dare make that comparison. Sorry but this one is a strong... I DON"T THINK SO! Yamaha will be a great piano at that price. Ed Tomlinson << I can attest that the price you have gotten for a C 3 is a very good one. However, IMHO that is not the best piano for your money. A PROPERLY prepped Petrof may be available in that range - you are also in a range where you might consider a world class rebuilt grand that will knock the socks off of that Yamaha. If any rebuilders have a Mason & Hamlin or Steinway rebuild - play it. Remember, that Yamaha will be there next week too. >>
