Sciortino Coil Maker

I am using the Sciortino hand held coil maker in restringing my old
upright (this is my first attempt), and it's going pretty good so far,
but I am starting to question if I am using the tool correctly. That is,
I am turning the string against the head of the set screw to make the
coils. But in reviewing Reblitz, it looks like he has the set screw
turned out several cranks, and the string turning agains the threads of
the set screw.
