Chinese pianos (inflamed)

Monsieur Bremmer,

As my flamesuit warehouse is now restocked, I feel safe to respond to your
latest belicose belittleling of a fellow list member.

At 08:55 2/27/98 EST, you wrote:

Do you _know_ that Mr. Torres has underdeveloped skills, stood by and
listened and watched while he was working, guiding him gently into the one
true way?

IMHO Greg's complaining about the quality of the Chinese pianos was not
because of ineptitude, but rather frustration. Perhaps he could let us know
which of the possible weaknesses was most odious and we could discuss _that_
rather than any perceived personal skill deficit?

Yeah, right.

We are all well aware of your professed ability to consistently turn these
consumer oriented (i.e. cheap) instruments from sow's ears into silk purses.
Is that because _you_ already know everything and everything you know is THE
_right_ way?

Perhaps you could elucidate, for all, the proper method of making a treble
section sound clean which has false beats on multiple strings per unison and
sometimes multiple false beats per string? Certainly one of the situations
which could cause frustration to most people and might be the cause of some
impure thoughts. (or even an uttered epithet!)

Perhaps heeding your own advise would be a good thing?

Yup.

Your return to the list is welcomed by those on it who can, and will,
benefit from your expertise in several areas.

There are those, however, who are discounting that very expertise because of
your method of serving up that knowledge to this list.

There are even those who might benefit from the knowledge you might be able
to offer, but will never see it because they are summarily deleting, unread,
any post from you.

Is it at all possible to limit your remarks to a discussion of pianos and/or
piano related subjects w/o personal attacks upon another list member?

Conrad
