"Ed" of the class...or special "Ed"

Hi all... a while back we had someone refer to one without using the last name
of said Mr. Bill.  We were asked to use the last name because of many on the
list with this name.  Ed Foote and Myself, Ed Tomlinson,  share first names.
Two "Ed's" are better than one...of coarse.  But I would enjoy in your
responses when quoting us to use last names as well.
