I live in a town of about 200,000, and we have a store called TAP Plastics,
which handles plastic sheets, rods, rolls, epoxies, etc. They sell several
thickness of Mylar by the foot. They will also do custom fabrication. Try the
yellow pages under "plastics." 

I expect that cities of about the size of ours are likely to have such a
supplier.
