Well, yes, on the third, three tunings, and two other calls including taking the clamps off of a Samick lyre that I reglued and doweled a few days previous (in the home). Traffic was quite light. I enjoyed the freedom to change lanes and get with the program down the freeways. On the 4th, I worked in the shop and tried to finish up a PianoDisc installation on a Samick product. As I rolled the piano up on it's leggs (sorry Deb) I learned what happens when a lyre snaps and breaks. I spent the rest of the day reconstructing a total loss into a workable facsimile. It's hard to tell I reconstructed this thing. I found out that it had been reglued before ....... most likely by a local sales/tech combo type person that should really stick to sales and leave repairs to those who are more focused on the craft. The only loss was the lyre. Fortunately the piano case survived unscathed. As fer the 5th on the 4th and bottle in front of me as opposed to the frontal lobotomy, we learnt long time ago to stay home on holidays. It's easier, safer and more fun. I've managed to uncork two bottles of wine with my signifigant other, polished off a big bowl of strawberry ice (containing lots of alcohol) and rather enjoyed the hell out of some really nicely smoked ribs fresh off the grill accompanied by some freshly made potato salad containing as many "fresh out of our garden" ingredients as nature would allow. PLUS ..... all day long we cranked it up because the radio was broadcasting the WATERFRONT BLUES FESTIVAL....... LIVE!!!. Some people know how to live, and then some people live in Missouri. (yeah Dave) As I type this, the neighbors are burning 100's of dollars on noise makers, and colored sparkly airial displays. About midnight is starts to sound like a war zone around here. It already smells like one.
