I've got on my database a piano that is played 12 hours per day everyday. It's been in service for about a year and a half and has acoustic foam installed betwixt the back posts. It's stable as ever, stays in tune very nicely, plays perfectly every day, and really doesn't show any signs of needing a DC installed. (Kawai KG2 I think, small dinky little dorky pianner). If it needed one, it could be mounted right by the belly rail and the bucket could be installed normally. Some foam would have to be removed to accomodate. On all the vertical pianos that I've done, there's room for the rod just under the solenoid rail. The bucket would have to be mounted under it leaving no room for the power supply on the inside of the lower cavity. It (the aforementioned power supply) could be mounted on the outside, betwixt the backposts. So you can tell Mr. Muckenfuss, Mrs. Plotchmeister, Msr. Umptekrock, Ms. Prissy, and the Dingleputz family that they can all have a full featured DC in their piano and the sun will set with nice music playing in the background, there, hey, once, yah, enso hey, ok??
