Richard,

Here's a chart from David Sanderson posted last year. Is this what you
were wanting?

Subject: American vs Metric wire

Hello all,

I have modified the format only of Newton's data (hopefully not
manipulated). Perhaps someone who buys Röslau from APSCO could take a mic
and see which column of numbers their Röslau wire matches the best.
Imported Röslau from Jahn, of Germany is always marked on the package in
millimeters (.925 mm). The ring of Röslau I bought from APSCO recently just
had a gage number (16) on the package, no corresponding diameter in either
inches or millimeters. It matched my imported 16 1/2 exactly, in other
words, it mic'ed at .950 mm.
