WD40

A warning to all on this list:  never, never use WD-40 within 2 blocks of a
piano.  If you use it on pedals the fumes will get to the bass strings and
they become lifeless - dead sounding.  There was once a tuner in this area
(he died 5 years ago) who sprayed WD-40 on the pressure bars and this
migrated to the tuning pins and bass strings.  Result:  loose tuning pins
and dead bass strings.
