I'm sorry Richard but the evidence that the music was designed for a true WT
is in the music itself.  In ET it would not matter if you transposed any
particular piece but if you play the WT Clavier music in a true WT and
transpose ANY one of the compositions up or down a half step, you will
immediately hear that it is innapproriate for that key.  

The most likely example for how Bach must have tuned are the Kirnburger and
Werkmeister WT's.

Believe it or not, there was life and music before ET and there will be great
rejoicing in the world when it is gone.
