Dear List,
I have been asked to forward this request to you by John Ragusa. A customer
with a 1934ish Steinway L (Rachmaninoff signed) needs replacement lid hinges.
When the piano was moved from Seattle the movers removed the lid and lost the
two hinge halves for the rim. The hinges need to be extra long at the bend as
the rim of the piano has extra trim around it. John thinks it would need to
be about 1.25 inches from the bend to the pin. He has contacted Steinway and
they no longer have this style hinge. If any of you can be of assistance to
John please contact him directly at: jonragusa@juno.com.
Thanks, Debbie Legg
