I am in the process of putting in a new pin block in a Bush and Lane 6' grand piano. I bought the piano for the purpose of reselling it. The scale is as follows: 19.5 - 4 19 - 4 18 - 10 17 - 10 16 - 10 14.5 - 8 14 - 6 13.5 -8 The break between 16 and 14.5 seems very drastic. Also, with so many 18, 17, and 16 size wires, the 16's wind up in the top treble section. I have, on occasion, rescaled a piano, just for the fun of it, but it was purely by guess work, and what I thought would be good. Does anyone out there have a formula, or better yet, a program that can give me a better scale? E-mail me privately if you can help me. Willem Blees RPT St. Louis
