A question on Dampp-Chaser installation. Has anyone left the registering thermometer/hygrometer unit in the piano, for say a week, as a method of confirming that the location of the humidistat is correct? Regards, John M. Ross John, I don't think that's as accurate a test as observing the actual pitch change behavior of the piano. It's the stability of the soundboard that is the most direct criterion for the correct placement of the humidistat. Bob Anderson Tucson, AZ
