Fred, This happen not too long ago, and caused me a great deal of embarrassment. Late Saturday PM a well respected music teacher called in a panic could I please come and check two notes on her piano as she was having a recital in her home that evening. Her usual tuner had tuned the piano that morning but had taken off out of town for the week end. No problem being a good Samaritan. Simple problem two notes in the killer octave of a U1 with loose hammer heads. In a rush I failed to wipe excess glue from the joint. The lady was not too pleased when the two notes would not play at all that evening. Some glue had run down the shank and firmly fixed the shanks to the back rail cloth. I wish to remain anonymous Duh!!!!!!! Roger Roger Jolly Baldwin Yamaha Piano Centre Saskatoon and Regina Saskatchewan, Canada. 306-665-0213 Fax 652-0505
