Hi Mike, No, actually I was trying to remember the title of the thread that talked about cutting off the excess trichord dampers below the level of the strings with barber's shears. Or something similar. This dealt with the noise when the trichords lift, not when they seat into the strings. I still can't remember. :-( I think Brian DeTar posted something about it.
