These are glorified modern clavichords, striking rather behind a nut instead of as the nut. I think a gizmo tunes it, but a rather pedantic one, and it has guitar tuners. The keys have rubber-tipped fingers that poke the strings, and I think Corvette grommets are their recommended replacements. Keyboard magazine featured one in the past year modified with a 'whammy bar'. Clark (don't call me superstitious)
