Jim & List, Appreciate all the responses. I will be glad to see about setting up a room for a chat session if that's what the majority want. We could also code the badges as Conrad suggested. Or splice the main brace, as I was doing when I met gunner's mate Nossaman. This list is a community and I just want ya'll to have the oportunity to get together. As you may know, I will be the one with the radio implanted in one ear, institute book in hand, running down the hall looking for whatever it was I overlooked before the convention. If the consensus is to meet, as it seems to be, I was suggesting earlier in the week so that we might be able to spend a little time with new friends, if so inclined. No earlier than Wed. or Thurs. Mr. Rookie! Let me know what is your pleasure. We felt that it would be helpful to settle the air a little bit and provide an opportunity to get to tag familiar names with faces, discuss ettiquette questions, etc. The get together was for PTG-L and pianotech and I feel was very constructive and worthwhile. What we had to do was find an empty room and schedule it during the minitech session for 'one' period (45 minutes) only. We then posted signs telling everyone where and when it was going to be and I must say that we had literally standing room only. That is where I first met Newton 'and' why I know that his self description of tall, dark, and handsome, is not entirely correct :-) I think that all it would take would be for someone to take the initiative in KC and find the room, put up signs and have at it.........perhaps the list might suggest topics for discussion ??
