Only difference is he suggests rapping the black sharp flat and level against a solid stationery surface (anvil, steel plate, whatever...). I'm suggesting rapping the black sharp at the front part only. You are holding the keyarm upside down and treating it like it is a hammer with the black sharp as the face of the hammer.
