Mr. Hunt, What I need before I leave the USA onn 19 Jan 1999, is a Yamaha parts "crash kit" Flanges, lots of them..12 to 24 would get me started, damper, whippin, jack and damper levers, etc. Need to search and sort thru my relational data base, thats eager to serve. Here is my most recent mission: another one dameged in Saudi Customs: Obvious Shipping damage: Yamaha 500QADC 1. Right leg, plate support 2. Front Board 3. Front board dowels support blocks 4. Keybed leveling C# no.31 to D no. 78 5. Touch up kick board 6. Touch up key cover 7. Replace right cheek block 8. Replace misc. hardware, screws I'll pull the SN if you need it, right out of the US, last month. Not the piano, but the people here. Regardless, I have this "fantisy" of being able to order parts by....the number. from Yamaha.... Additionally, having the spec's on these damaged instruments, could help me get the keybed in quicker, (or not) I don't have a proble with doing it by...my means of checking, tone, touch key.....stuff...you don't need details. But it will be corect regadless. It sure would be nice to have a starting piont before the mess. I like to look at numbers, mean nothing to me if it ain't right.
