Roger, I approve your investigation into wire parameters but I think the
differences in wire is a rock solid constant compared to the behavior of
wood (being organic) and rib/board/bridge variations that are not
understood well enough to mathematically predict.

Del seems to have a great ability and insight but it would be nice to
say that a board of such thickness, ribs of such dimensions and
arrangement and bridge construction will give us a "Mason" sound or s
"Steinway" sound.  We then could design an optimum system with given
limitations but no flaws inherent in the design.  Then wood would be the
only variable.

I doubt I will see this type of technology in my life time even though I
have seen some immense strides in action and hammer parameters.

Go for it and instruct us.
