Roger, I approve your investigation into wire parameters but I think the differences in wire is a rock solid constant compared to the behavior of wood (being organic) and rib/board/bridge variations that are not understood well enough to mathematically predict. Del seems to have a great ability and insight but it would be nice to say that a board of such thickness, ribs of such dimensions and arrangement and bridge construction will give us a "Mason" sound or s "Steinway" sound. We then could design an optimum system with given limitations but no flaws inherent in the design. Then wood would be the only variable. I doubt I will see this type of technology in my life time even though I have seen some immense strides in action and hammer parameters. Go for it and instruct us. Newton
