Dear Ron, I've encountered this often. You can minimize, but not always cure it. Try replacing the back rail cloth on the action frame. Use the softest stuff you can get (try Schaff-it's softer than APSCO's). Sometimes replacing the key end felt with softer material helps. Check to see if the cloth on the repetition where it touches the capstan is hardened. Good luck. Arthur Grudko
