Friends, Does the Young Chang primarily get play from the player mechanism alone? Is the damper lift also inhibited when played manually? I'm a bit unsure about the original post or perhaps I've missed something. If the system (I assume PianoDisc) is the primary source of playback I would make sure that the pedal solenoid is properly adjusted to give the damper proper lift distance and the pedal hold adjustment be also set to apply the required power to prevent sagging while engaged. I've seen many player installations that were not set up properly to begin with and the pedal lift settings lacking the response to function at optimum performance. Obtain a PDisc service manual and reset these solenoid settings. I don't understand how the damper tray can malfunction without noticing obvious, loose screws, friction at the bushed areas, foreign objects etc....Please set me straight if I'm on the wrong track. David Chadwick (love to read the tech list and learn.....no garbage!)
