First Piano

I must have been about thirteen when I tuned the first time.  My dad
borrowed a tuning hammer and, using one of those round chromatic
pitchpipes, I had a go at our family's old upright.  I'm sure it was a
rotten tuning, but even so the piano sounded a lot better when I was
finished.
