This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Dear List, Thanks so much for the input on the Haddorff piano. I neglected to say in the original message that it was a Vertichord (whatever that was supposed to mean :-) ). The piano had not been tuned in "years" according to the curator of the Historical Society, yet the piano was only 10 cents flat from A440 in the middle section. Someone mentioned that they were stable--is it possible to be this stable for many years?? I thought the case was really nice. Very attractive, and good woodworking. Some mentioned the unusual design of the case...it was that, for sure. A little bit of headscratching to get it apart. The ivory work was really good, too. Someone took pride in his work, and it was gratifying to see that. I always enjoy seeing good, older pianos which demonstrate quality craftmanship. (I like seeing newer ones, too, but the older unusual pianos are neat. <grin>) Anyway, the owners did not want to spend the money to do "everything" just now, so probably will get to regulate and tune, glue loose ivories...minor stuff. Looking forward to it! Best to all, John Formsma ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
