Painting Sharps

Try cleaning off the sharps with Formula #409...Spray on rag, apply to
sharp...Object is to remove any trace of oil from the sharp surface...When
that is finished you can use flat black spray paint (Available at Wal-Mart and
K-Mart)...Use several light coats instead of one heavy coat...The heavy coat
will have a tendency to run...When an area appears not to be taking the paint
properly, it usually means that there is still oil on the key surface...For a
fixture on which to paint, use an old keyframe...This will keep the sharps
upright during the spraying and painting procedure...

It might help to lightly sand the top of the sharp with fine sandpaper after
the cleaning has been finished.....Always sand in line with the grain...
