Tightening coils on sloppy restringing

If you use the wire sticking out as an upstop, the wire is theoretically too
low at that point.  If the wire made one revolution then where it meets the
becket is the bottom of the first coil hence the other end should be covering
half the hole.  Splitting hairs but you get the point.  I like to have the
wire
covering the hole, it makes a nice clean look. 

Furthermore, in the bass; if you needed to remove the coil it is harder to
pull out a longer wire (and get it back in).  So insert the wire to the end of
the
hole and make your bend.

Look at S&S's, no wire protruding, neat job.  Copy that.
