On agraffe fitting:

Perhaps no one has yet mentioned it because it's so obvious, but when an
agraffe turns snug too far away from proper orientation, my first choice
is to take it out and try another agraffe.  The threads don't all begin
and end at the same point, either on the agraffe or in the plate, and
it's usually possible to find a good fit with a few tries.  That way the
string height is least affected (although the difference would not be
much anyway), and the agraffe ends up seated directly on the plate
without an intervening shim (also not a major consideration, but one to
avoid if possible).
