Newton,

Thanks for your letter, but I haven't found this to be the case in using
it over l2 years now on many actions.  It stays on the flange far better
then brown paper (or newspaper) once it is screwed back on the action
and "pressed" on.  

Whenever I have to remove a hammer flange with brown or newspaper, it
almost always falls off which is annoying.  

I am sure some of the glue will ooze out on the sides, but I cannot
believe that 100% of it does.  Regardless, I just haven't seen the
thickness diminish over time requiring more traveling.   

John Ford thought it was superior to brown tape and so do I.  As someone
else already pointed out, I don't like using my tongue for licking all
that brown tape. Yuk
